Treehouse Tribe: Sibiu Chapter
Winter Village Life & Saxon Heritage | Sibiu, Romania
We are an intentional roaming village for remote-working families with kids aged 4 to 12, strictly capped at 10 children per chapter. Instead of rigid desks or tests, our unschooling-inspired approach focuses on self-directed curiosity, open-ended arts and crafts, hands-on science experiments, and outdoor play. Kids gain an authentic cohort of friends while parents get reliable focus time to work.
Our Daily Rhythm
-
Mon–Thu (09:00–14:00): Screen-free morning workshops in our warm Kids Lab while parents focus from a nearby partner workspace.
-
Friday Tribe Days: Hosted community expeditions—from exploring medieval citadels to sledding and beginner skiing at Arena Platoș (just 35 minutes away).
-
Evenings & Weekends: Casual walks, board game nights, parent masterminds, and shared dinners at local tavernas.
The Candid Reality
February in Transylvania is cold. you will wrestle kids into thermals and snow boots every morning. But the payoff is a storybook winter: watchtowers covered in deep snow, sledding in Sub Arini Park, and coming inside with flushed cheeks to hot chocolate and a room full of friends.
Pack your thermal layers, we’ll have the kettle on. — Liraz & Mordi
