This 15-day teen-focused learning community takes place in Peru’s Andes, centered around Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Participants explore history, culture, and daily life through hands-on experiences such as artisan workshops, farming practices, and site visits. The program includes guided exploration of archaeological locations, markets, and cultural traditions, along with a multi-day visit to Machu Picchu. July 14–27, 2026

The experience combines structured learning with group collaboration, allowing teens to engage with local environments while building connections with peers. Activities include creative projects, cultural immersion, and outdoor exploration, with a balance of guided sessions and shared community time.

The program is facilitated by an experienced team dedicated to youth empowerment, experiential education, and cultural immersion:

Lainie Liberti – Co-founder of Project World School, with over a decade of experience organizing international teen retreats. Her facilitation style focuses on collaboration, trust-building, and fostering curiosity.

Miro Siegel – A seasoned youth facilitator and worldschooling advocate passionate about history, archaeology, and connecting teens with transformative learning experiences.

Local Experts – The team collaborates with Peruvian guides, artisans, and cultural leaders to provide authentic, on-the-ground insights into the history, traditions, and ecology of the Sacred Valley.

Venue Details

The program takes place across multiple locations in Cusco and the Sacred Valley region of Peru. Accommodations are provided throughout the retreat, including stays in local lodging and a multi-day farm experience. The setting includes access to historical sites, rural communities, and natural landscapes in the Andes. Transportation between locations is arranged as part of the program, allowing participants to explore both urban and remote environments.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations before 4 weeks of the program lose 50% of the total fee; cancellations within 4 weeks of the start date are non-refundable.

What's Included

The program includes accommodation for the full duration, all meals during the retreat, airport transfers, and ground transportation. Participants receive access to workshops, guided tours, cultural activities, and entrance fees to included sites. Filtered drinking water and group programming are also provided. International travel, personal expenses, and some travel-day meals are not included.
