Project Worldschool - Peru Retreat
The Machu Picchu & Sacred Valley Retreat is a 15-day immersive teen learning community based in Peru’s Cusco and Sacred Valley regions. This temporary program focuses on exploring the rich history, culture, and traditions of the Andes while fostering collaborative learning and personal growth. Retreat dates are July 14-28, 2025
Participants will delve into the legacy of the Incas through hands-on activities, including archaeology workshops, artisan crafts, and sustainable farming practices. The program also introduces Andean mysticism, local arts, and environmental sustainability, offering teens a unique opportunity to connect with the land, its people, and their peers in a supportive environment.
A highlight of the retreat is a guided hike and exploration of the world-renowned archaeological site of Machu Picchu, offering participants an unforgettable educational experience.

The program is facilitated by an experienced team dedicated to youth empowerment, experiential education, and cultural immersion:
Lainie Liberti – Co-founder of Project World School, with over a decade of experience organizing international teen retreats. Her facilitation style focuses on collaboration, trust-building, and fostering curiosity.
Miro Siegel – A seasoned youth facilitator and worldschooling advocate passionate about history, archaeology, and connecting teens with transformative learning experiences.
Local Experts – The team collaborates with Peruvian guides, artisans, and cultural leaders to provide authentic, on-the-ground insights into the history, traditions, and ecology of the Sacred Valley.
Venue Details
Participants will stay in shared accommodations in hostels throughout Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Rooms are dormitory-style, with bunk beds and 4–8 participants per room, encouraging a communal living experience.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations before 4 weeks of the program lose 50% of the total fee; cancellations within 4 weeks of the start date are non-refundable.
