This family trip was truly indescribable, culturally immersive, unique, once-in-a-lifetime. It was not a tourist destination in the typical sense, although nearby attractions are close enough to visit. We stayed in a small mountain village that was utterly breathtaking. It provided a beautiful backdrop to learn about Romanian culture with people who truly know it and help you form the cultural connection you’re seeking. You won’t get this experience from staying in a hotel or booking a tour, it’s just not the same.

I highly recommend this for families or anyone who wants to be fully immersed in the true culture of a country. You don’t need to be experienced in world-schooling or homeschooling. We typically attend traditional school, yet this trip opened our eyes to the possibility of more family travel like this in the future.

The Inside Romania family was incredibly responsive and supportive. They helped with all arrangements and questions, and were phenomenal hosts. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

More than a stay – a soul-deep immersion in the mountain. Every breath felt purer, every view inspired awe. Steps from your door, trails wove me into nature’s essence. Unforgettable: I still smell those pine-scented peaks writing this. A beautiful place you simply cannot miss.
