Cacao Coast CR

Cacao Coast CR offers immersive two- or four-week programs rooted in Costa Rica’s southern Caribbean coast. Families can choose from Roots & Rhythms or Seeds & Stories, each running for two weeks Monday to Friday, or combine both for a full-month experience. Family programming runs mornings, with afternoons free to add on a selection of curated activities. Cohorts include cacao experiences, jungle hikes, hands on cooking and other workshops, cultural exchanges, and conservation work. Upcoming 2026 dates include February, April, September, and November sessions.

Meet the Team
Founded by two British mothers with 27 years of combined experience living in Costa Rica, the team brings backgrounds in alternative education and community development. They are joined by bilingual guides—local and long-term residents—with expertise in Waldorf- and Montessori-inspired education, conservation, arts, somatic practices, and cultural exchange.
Venue Details
The program takes place in the Puerto Viejo de Talamanca area, close to jungle, beaches, and vibrant Caribbean culture. Families commute daily from accommodations of their choice; the team provides a vetted list but does not arrange stays directly.
