Worldschool Gathering Croatia – teens and tweens edition
Are you longing for some more sunshine this autumn? Spending some time together with other homeschooling and travelling families, with fun activities being organised in co-creation but also plenty of time to play and live your everyday life?
We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be organising our second gathering close to Poreč on the Istrian peninsula of Croatia. This gathering will have a focus on families with teens and tweens.
A gathering is an opportunity to meet other families with a similar lifestyle. There is no fixed programme with tightly scheduled activities. Instead, we create community, a space for connection, spontaneous plans and shared experiences. Think of it as a small village where you have your own place, but friends are never far away.
The gathering will take place from 3 October to 1 November. You are welcome to join us for ten days or longer.

Meet the Team
Born from a shared love for worldschooling, community, and meaningful connection, Mirjam and Susanne started The Exploring Families in 2022 to bring like-minded families together. Since then, the hubs have grown into warm and playful gatherings across Europe, where like-minded families come together to play, connect, and create lasting memories.
Some hubs are hosted by Mirjam, others we co-host – always with the same focus on warmth, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere where every family feels at home. The gathering in Croatia is hosted by Mirjam and her husband Rob.
Venue Details
The gathering is set at Valamar Camping Istra – a large and luxurious holiday park with outdoor pools, water slides, playgrounds, sports fields and restaurants. It’s set directly on the Adriatic Sea and is close to the historic village of Poreč. The closest airport is in Pula, about 50 km from the resort.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel at least 1 month before the hub starts, you will receive a refund of 50% of your participation fee. No refund will be given if you cancel within 1 month of the start.
What's Included
The participation fee is €60 – regardless of family size. This fee includes all activities organised by us at the holiday park, but not your accommodation or any extras such as excursions or meals out.
