Meet the Team

The hub is led by a passionate trio with diverse backgrounds:

  • Aliyah Santos: A worldschooling mom of four with six years of experience, Aliyah holds a Social Work degree and has expertise in Early Childhood Education, freelance writing, and business management. Her leadership and dedication drive the hub’s mission to create meaningful educational opportunities for families.
  • Hassnae Iguid: A certified nurse and first aid provider, Hassnae offers deep knowledge of Amazigh and Moroccan culture. Her multifaceted background includes work in education, non-profits, and hospitality, making her an invaluable resource for translation, transportation, and local insights.
  • Hafid Sebai: A Mirleft native and “beach expert,” Hafid brings extensive knowledge of the local environment. His expertise in fishing, surfing, and outdoor activities enriches the hub’s offerings, ensuring a well-rounded and adventurous experience for participants.

Venue Details

Mirleft Cultural Cove is situated in the heart of Mirleft, a picturesque town in southern Morocco known for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture. The venue serves as a hub for learning and connection, offering a safe and flexible environment where children can explore their interests. Nearby beaches, caves, and markets provide the perfect backdrop for activities, while local partnerships support sustainable development goals and empower youth and women in the community. Families are encouraged to immerse themselves in the local culture, fostering deeper understanding and shared experiences.

Cancellation Policy

A 40% deposit is required to secure a child’s spot in the program. This deposit is fully refundable up to 45 days before the hub’s start date. Cancellations made within 45 days of the start date will forfeit 40% of the deposit to cover administrative and material costs. Once the hub begins, partial refunds are considered only in exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness, injury, death in the immediate family, unforeseen travel restrictions, or if a child is unable to manage themselves at the hub. Documentation is required for these cases, and refunds are calculated based on attendance and incurred expenses.

What's Included

The program includes children’s activities from 10 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, for four weeks, along with snacks and lunch during these days. Materials and supplies for activities, local field trips, assistance with organizing accommodations, and taxi coordination from Agadir are also provided. Families benefit from childcare during Mom’s/Dad’s Night Out, as well as family educational time where children can share what they’ve learned.

What’s Not Included:

The program does not cover flights, accommodations (though assistance is provided with finding economical options through local landlords), transportation to and from Mirleft, additional food or activities outside the program, or optional Saturday group trips to destinations like Legzira or Taghazout.
