FAQs
What is included in the cost?
Registration covers the worldschooling educational program, including local school enrollment (during school terms) and afternoon workshops.
For families seeking a fully seamless experience, we also offer all-inclusive packages that include accommodations, meals, activities, transportation, and more. Message us for further details.
My child is nervous about attending school in a foreign country. How will this work?
Younger children (under 6) naturally absorb the language and integrate quickly, especially in Montessori’s mixed-age environment, where they find their place organically.
For older kids, we’ve designed a buddy system at Colegio Menfis to ease the transition. Each child is paired with a local student who:
Helps them navigate the school day and feel at home.
Encourages participation and ensures they have a role in school.
Becomes a built-in friend, providing support and connection.
This system helps kids feel welcomed, confident, and engaged from day one!
Do we have to participate in all activities?
Not at all! Families are welcome to opt out of scheduled activities and spend their day exploring, relaxing, or enjoying their time at their own pace.
What activities are included in the itinerary?
The program includes engaging afternoon workshops such as nature walks, cultural immersion, art and music classes, and community service projects. Weekend excursions explore Colombia’s coffee region, national parks, and local festivals.
Optional activities can be added at an additional cost.
What if I prefer different accommodations?
If you choose not to stay at Minga House, we’re happy to assist in arranging alternative accommodations nearby.
Please note that additional costs will apply for alternative arrangements.
How do we get to Minga House?
Transportation from nearby airports (Pereira or Manizales) is available as part of our all-inclusive package. Simply provide your travel details during registration, and we’ll help coordinate your arrival and departure.
