Worldschool Hub Lake Garda - Indian Summer 2025 Edition
We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be hosting another worldschool hub at Lake Garda, Italy. We made so many happy memories during the first edition last year, and we can’t wait to return for another wonderful experience.
Once again, we’ll be staying at Piani di Clodia – a large and luxurious holiday park with outdoor pools, water slides, playgrounds, sports fields and great restaurants. It’s set directly on the shores of Lake Garda and is close to several theme parks and beautiful cities such as Sirmione, Verona and Venice.
The Indian Summer Hub will take place from 13 to 27 September.
We’ll be keeping the group small – about 10 to 12 families – big enough for plenty of playmates, yet small enough for everyone to get to know each other.
We keep the schedule light, with planned activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
That way, there’s lots of time on the other days to relax, explore the area, or enjoy spontaneous play, which is often the most valuable part of a hub. The holiday park has several pools and slides, which naturally become a favourite spot for kids and teens to meet and play.
The activities take place on or around the holiday park and include:
– potluck meals and pizza nights
– creative workshops
– sharing circles
– visit to a nearby theme park
– an authentic Italian farfalle and ravioli-making workshop
– day trips to two historical cities
We keep things simple and relaxed, and there’s always something fun or meaningful to join if you’re up for it.
You can bring your own camping gear (camper, caravan, tent) and book a pitch, or rent one of the many accommodation options available at Piani di Clodia.

Meet the Team
Born from a shared love for worldschooling, community, and meaningful connection, Mirjam and Susanne started The Exploring Families in 2022 to bring like-minded families together. Since then, the hubs have grown into warm and playful gatherings across Europe, where like-minded families come together to play, connect, and create lasting memories.
Some hubs are hosted by Mirjam, others we co-host – always with the same focus on warmth, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere where every family feels at home. The hub in Sweden is hosted by Mirjam and her husband Rob.
Venue Details

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel at least 14 days before the hub starts, you will receive a refund of 50% of your participation fee. No refund will be given if you cancel within 14 days of the start.
The holiday park’s refund policy depends on the type of accommodation you book. You can find their policy on their website. Please note that you’ll need to contact them directly, as all bookings must be made with the park itself.
What's Included
The participation fee is €110 per week, per family – regardless of family size. This fee includes all activities organised by us at the holiday park, but not your accommodation or any extras such as excursions or meals out.
