Project Worldschool - Mexico Intro
The Mexico Intro Learning Community is a 9-day immersive experience in Guanajuato, Mexico, designed for teens exploring self-directed learning, unschooling, and worldschooling. This program introduces participants to the concept of co-creating a learning community while emphasizing cultural exploration, trust, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Teens will experience Mexico’s rich cultural traditions and history through hands-on activities, workshops, and group reflections. Activities include team-building, local history tours, art and music sessions, traditional Mexican cooking, and outdoor nature explorations. Program dates are March 17-25, 2025.
This retreat serves as an introduction to longer-term programs, offering a supportive, collaborative environment where teens can step out of their comfort zones, connect with peers, and engage in personal development.

The program is facilitated by experienced leaders with backgrounds in youth empowerment, travel education, and the arts:
Lainie Liberti – Co-founder of Project World School with extensive experience leading international teen programs since 2013.
Miro Siegel – Youth facilitator and seasoned traveler passionate about cultural immersion, history, and global perspectives.
Fer – Artist and creator specializing in watercolor, film, and creative workshops, dedicated to helping teens connect through art and storytelling.
Venue Details
Participants will stay in a centrally located hostel in Guanajuato, Mexico. Accommodations are in shared dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds, with 4–8 teens per room. The hostel provides a communal environment for building connections and shared experiences.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations before 4 weeks of the program start will lose 50% of the total fee. Cancellations within 4 weeks are non-refundable.
What's Included
9 nights of shared accommodation, airport transfers and ground transportation, all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the retreat, guided tours, workshops, and cultural activities, entrance fees to all program attractions, filtered drinking water (participants should bring refillable bottles).
