Most of what goes wrong in adult teams was already going wrong at 15. Someone carries the group. A disagreement nobody names. Everyone waiting to be told what to do. I spent 20+ years coaching leadership teams and distributed teams as an ICF-certified systemic team coach, kept seeing the same patterns, and went looking for the point where they form. I bring systemic team coaching to teenagers, first through schools and now directly to families.

The Young Entrepreneurs Programme is built around a real project. A cohort of 6 to 12 teens forms one venture team and takes something they choose from idea to delivery. It might be a product, an event or a campaign for a cause. They take real roles (product, finance, marketing and delivery, with a chair that rotates) and work to real deadlines. Each term ends with an external pitch or a youth competition entry, or a response to a real client brief.

I coach the team live in every session. I work with what is actually happening on the call: who speaks and who goes quiet, and what gets decided without anyone deciding it. I don’t teach theory about teamwork. The venture is the doorway. What teens take away is how they behave in a team when it matters.

The online format is deliberate. Most of these teens will work in distributed teams as adults, so learning to do it well now is part of the point.

Meet the Team

I’m Ruxandra Cord, an ICF-certified systemic team coach with an Executive MBA from Maastricht School of Management. I spent 15+ years working with leadership teams and distributed teams, after a career that ran through IT, consulting and media across the US, Canada and Western Europe. I also built and later exited an AI coaching tool for distributed teams. Somewhere in all that I got stubborn about one question: where do these team patterns start? The answer kept pointing at adolescence, so I founded Before Habit to work with teenagers while the habits are still soft. I live in Valencia.

What's Included

  • Who: worldschooling teens, in three cohorts: 11 – 13, 14 – 16 and 17 – 19. They join from wherever they are and are grouped by time zone, so everyone is within a couple of hours of each other.
  • Format: live online, 1.5 hours a week plus about 1 hour of teamwork, with a group chat between sessions.
  • Stage 1: 10 weeks, aiming to start in November, as soon as 6 teens in the same age group have signed up. It’s the entry point, and families who want to continue can stay on for all three stages, booking each one separately.
  • Price: a fixed €40 per session, so €400 for Stage 1, paid by bank transfer before week 2. The first week is a trial. After that, the full stage is committed, because the team depends on everyone staying.
  • Safeguarding: calls are recorded and the recordings are deleted when the project ends. The group chat tool is chosen together with the team, and parents have access to it.
